Rangeline Group’s valve maintenance services will add to the service life of your valves, ensuring they operate without issue for years to come. The importance of pipelines and their components cannot be understated, so never wait till something goes wrong to have your utilities serviced. This could potentially lead to much more substantial issues that leave you lacking basic resources like water and energy.

R&M Service Solution’s program provides you with the flexibility to plan for and schedule system repairs and improvements to better meet your needs and utilize your resources. Water valve maintenance may seem like a simple process, but a valve maintenance report can help you better understand your own systems. Keeping up with the maintenance of your utilities before they degrade also helps keep them efficient and addresses smaller issues before they can grow into something much larger.

R&M’s Valve Maintenance and Assessment program complies with AWWA standards and can be tailored to meet any specific requirements your facilities require. AWWA standards pertain to the minimum requirements for the design, installation, performance, and manufacturing of products used in the drinking water industry, but you can expect us to go above and beyond to ensure your utilities are as safe and effective as possible. Our maintenance report can help identify ways of improving upon your current system in addition to assessing its condition.

R&M’s Program Includes:

  • Locate valve
  • Raise valve box to grade
  • Align valve box (if outside of pavement)
  • Clean valve box
  • Operate the valve – two complete cycles
  • Obtain GPS coordinates of hydrant and isolation valve
  • Paint valve box lid
  • Document pertinent data
    > Location, type, size, open direction, number of turns and deficiencies
  • Present information in a user-friendly format
  • Report malfunctioning or closed valves immediately
  • GPS valve location – sub-foot or sub meter

Additional Services:

  • Installation of valve I.D. tag
