Line Stopping

Line-stops are a cost effective way to maintain, modify and repair systems without disrupting operations. The applications are almost endless. Some examples include replacement of a bad valve or insertion of a valve where one does not exist, repair of a ruptured or damaged main, building of a deflection or diversion above, around or below where the existing main traveled.

Wet Tapping

Hot Tapping & Wet Tapping, these are two terms that are synonymous with each other. The purpose or concept behind these procedures is to mechanically cut a hole of various size into an existing main. Whether this main is Steel, Copper, Ductile Iron, Cast Iron, Tran-site, Asbestos Cement, PVC, or Concrete (PCCP). The benefit behind these procedures is not only time effective but also cost effective. What TAPPING allows the contractor to do is provide additional branches (tie-ins) or modifications on a system that is pressurized or in service (not a requirement) without the interruption of that system or the inherent costs involved in shutting the system down and cutting in a mechanical tee.

Valve Inserting

With 25 years experience in Hot tapping, Line Stopping and Valve Inserting, the engineers at Occlude have designed a resilient seated insertion valve of simple design that meets and/or exceeds the AWWA C515 valve specification. Easy to install into pipeline systems without a shut down and capable of handling working pressures up to +250psi this valve changes the course of insertion valve technology.

Pipe Cutting

Rangeline offers pipe cutting and beveling services for 12" through 72" pipe. These services can be performed in confined spaces, underwater, and on pipe containing hazardous product such as sewage or chemicals.
